In memory of Madoka Sakano

Story

In memory of our dear friend, Madoka, who was a beautiful person inside out. She was smart, loving, caring, brave and strong-minded, a great friend to many and a dedicated wife.

In 2013, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, she was very determined to beat the illness and she never gave up fighting. Sadly, the cancer was more sophisticated than the treatment, she passed away on 11 December 2019 in her hometown Osaka, Japan. As a friend, I am immeasurably proud of her, she died only because she had no choice, not because she ‘lost a battle’ she was never destined to win.

It was with regret that her friends and extended family in the UK couldn't attend her funeral. On her first anniversary of passing, let's pay our respect and show our love by supporting Maggie's, the charity that helped Madoka and Andy through tough times. Please feel free to share your memories - stories, photos or videos on https://madoka-sakano.muchloved.com.

Madoka is much loved, will always be remembered and greatly missed. xxx
